Random Few Photos from the Past Few Months

  Realizing that I'm a total blogging slacker, I looked back in my photos on my phone to see what was of interest that I could share from my hiatus the past few months. Other than work things and moving, and the occasional weekend thing (such as having a yard sale), I haven't really take too many photos that I wish to share. I found one of my makeup from around Christmastime which I shall post here:

 And I found a photo from a while back when all my coworkers and I went out for a fancy dinner. We had fun and I used the excuse to get dressed up. Not that I needed an excuse, I dress up just because it is fun of course! ^_^

  I wonder if my legs are too long really for this dress? You can see my knobbly knees haha.

The last two are photos from more recent looks that I wore to work etc. I have tried fake nails again, and have had them a little while, but I think I shall let them grow out and go back to natural. While I love the look I just don't like the cost and the damage to natural nails.

At least that's something more than I've posted in the last few months! I'll be back with more, but now I'm off to catch up on everyone else's posts!

Well Hello...

  Well hello there, I bet that you all thought I'd dropped off the face of the earth. And for a while I kind of did,  but at least for the moment I'm back. :) I have had too many life changes going on to be able to take time or even want to focus on blogging, but I do hope my life has now settled into some semblance of normalcy for a while. We shall see!

  Where I am in my life right now: I moved again about 25 minutes away from where I was, and am now living in an apartment and loving my space. I have a full-time retail supervisor position and a secondary part-time job, both keep me crazy busy!  For a while there I had three jobs and it was impossible to do anything but wake up, eat food and get dressed (cleaning up and putting on makeup of course for the sake of the general public ;) hehe) and go to work, then come home and fall back into bed.

  I wish I could say that I kept up with some blogs even just as a reader, if not a writer on my own, but unfortunately I failed at that... I don't know if I can catch up with everyone's posts since November of last year, but I do hope that everyone reading, and everyone whose blogs I follow have been having the best of years so far in 2013.

  I hope to be able to post regularily now, and I know, you've heard me say that before ~ but now with Internet (didn't have it for almost 3 months), and my computer working properly (had to order a new battery for my laptop), and time (yay I get days off sometimes now!), I hope it will be true.

  Anyways, I'm glad to be back in the swing of things, and I hope all you out there reading are having a great weekend! For today I'll leave you with the latest result of something I've also just started getting back into after a long hiatus: experimenting with makeup and photo editing. :)

Hello and Happy End of November ^_^

  Hello to everyone, and I hope everyone had a great November! My life changed up yet again, I quit one job to take on a full-time manager position at one of the other ones, and so have now one full-time and one part-time job. It still keeps me quite busy!

  Things have been going fairly well though all things considered, I'm just tired often and haven't been as motivated to really go all out with my outfits etc. I need to get back into taking better care with my appearance, especially since I deal with the public all day long in a fashion related environment!

  It has been a while since I've been able to get on here and update once again, and also see other bloggers' posts, this seems to have become a trend for me but I am determined not to give up my blog yet!!! In the meantime here in the day-to-day I've been testing my own strength and endurance with my work hours and learning a lot about myself in the process. I expect to be able to post a little more regularly however if things don't take another turn in a different direction yet again within the month of December, can't keep up with myself sometimes! Happy belated Thanksgiving to all who celebrate and hope to post again soon!

AHHHH!!!! or A Life Update

  AHHHHH!!!!! There I do feel better now! Lol since writing my last post in which I said I was hunting for work I promptly found myself with 3 jobs and zero time for anything! I am still trying to figure out how that happened but I'm just sorry that I haven't been able to post anything for quite a while! I feel like I sort of fell off the planet on here. :P

  That's not to say I haven't been thinking about you all, and taking a photo here and there to eventually post when I have time to edit and really arrange them nicely. I have a few waiting in the wings and I hope to be able to find more time to blog - though who knows because the holidays are coming up so quickly!

  Anyways, my two newest jobs are an office job (YAY sitting down while I work instead of standing all day!!!!) which I am loving, and another retail job which I am not loving at all! I still have my original retail job, the company that I have been working with for 4+ years now, and that is going just fine as usual. I'm trying to decide whats best to do for time management, as I am having to learn that skill very quickly or not be able to do a darn thing.

  So though this is short and sweet, I wanted to be sure to just make this quick update, and I hope all readers and fellow bloggers are doing great and getting ready to have a safe and happy Halloween!

One year Blog Anniversary ^_^

  Earlier this month was my one year anniversary of doing this blog! I'm so surprised because it was here and gone before I knew it ~ this whole entire year is just flying by! I admit I haven't been as regular with posting as I had intended. Unexpected life stuff and other things just making blogging take some time on the back burner...but I'm still here and hope to be able to make some interesting posts for you all in the second year. :)

  I've got a couple of makeup looks to share today and a rather nasty photo of an unwelcome 'guest' that I found waiting (outside thank goodness) by the door for me when I got home one day... Fair warning to anyone who doesn't care for spiders - do not look at the last photo in this post. :P I really do not like spiders when they are within my personal space, especially the poisonous ones. I can appreciate them for the wonder of nature that they are and for the useful things they do, but I really don't need them to visit me up close and personal! They can stay outside and we can all live in harmony lol.

  Just as a quick life update, I'm hunting for more work, and when I find the right job I'm sure my schedule will get even tighter but such is life. I have been considering what I should do in this coming year, since I know it will be here in the blink of an eye. So far, things are up in the air financially and time-wise, so hard as it can be at times it is kind of a waiting game to see what doors open up and opportunities present themselves and pan out. I know things will work out for the best whatever that may be, whether I stay for a time where I am now, end up moving again, get further work or not, etc.

  But anyways, on to photos! These are a work look and an evening look (in that order):

  I have been wearing more lipstick lately than I generally do and I am liking it quite a bit. Also have been trying colors I never thought I might wear, like this really bright pink shown above! Thankfully with a darker lipliner under it and a gloss it isn't too bad for me, at least until I get used to letting it be brighter!

Monthly Theme: Someone Special

 
  The someone special in my life is that person that makes me smile and laugh, makes me happy when I am sad (and even happier when I am having good days and think it can't be possible to be more happy), who loves me in spite of my faults, and always wants what is best for me. I owe him so much in life and I do believe that we met each other for a reason, and at exactly the right time when we needed each other most. Things haven't been the easiest sometimes over the last few years with life situations, but we've been able to continue on, supporting each other, becoming closer in the process.

  When I feel like I'm alone and belong nowhere, he makes me realize that I am loved and wanted. When I mess up badly in handling life events, I know however badly I fail or let myself and others down, he will always be there to love me anyways and help me back on my feet. We do these things for each other, and it makes life worthwhile continuing. There will always be ups and downs, it is part of being human, but realizing that and making it through, coming out stronger together on the other side of bad times and celebrating together in the good is what relationships are all about.

  I hope to always have this man in my life, and have many many years to grow together. I don't feel worthy of the love and happiness he gives me, I can only endeavor to be a better person, the best person I can be, for myself and thus for him. I am so thankful he encourages me to be myself, and is so patient while I am finding who that is.

  My soulmate is the most special person in my life, though those words are not sufficient...

Goodies from August and Finished Dress!

  Today I thought I would post a few neat things I discovered this month and also photos of my dress that I finished! I'm very happy about it and I'm on to the next project, a skirt from some Halloween fabric I recently purchased. That is almost done so photos soon of that! ^_^

  I'm quite happy with the results of my first sewing project, and though I had a ton of help on it I hope to be able to do such things all by myself here very soon! I have another dress of the same pattern already cut out but I'm doing my Halloween skirt first. A very simple skirt which is just about fool proof, at least I hope!

  The other photos are things that I bought this month that I thought I'd share. I got the next two items at a garage sale, and I thought they were unique. This first one is the globe from an old electric light, but I think if I find some way to put little legs on it so it will sit up a bit to allow air flow underneath, then I can put it over a candle. It would also look great just as a piece out on the deck or in a window, I love the rustiness!

  At the same sale was this chalice/goblet type item. I think it had been used as a candle holder, and I'll either do the same or clean it out really good and use it to hold jewelry.

  Then I got this bracelet where I work, its sparkliness attracted me! I have to find a better way to organize jewelry here though before I get any more. Its kind of laying in shoe boxes because I don't have room to unpack it. :P

  Also I got this purse/messenger bag this month. I like the animal print, even though I don't own too much of it. When it is tastefully done animal print can be attractive I think... Anyone else have thoughts on animal print items...?

  And lastly, I had to order this bustled shirt from Newport News, it is awesome! (Apologies for the bad cell phone photos by the way, better ones to come later - and for the wrinkles, I haven't washed this top yet!) Here is the link to the blouse, I think it is still available! I looked carefully at their size chart this time and I ordered the one that matched my bust line, because there are no shoulders on it really I knew that wouldn't be an issue, and when it came it fit perfectly! ^_^

  These are the best items I've purchased this month, and I hope that I will find more bargains in the future in my new area here, there certainly are places to find deals! :D
